Weekly Challenge | penny

This week, our member Penny (Penny), wants you to create a project combiningPenny

Hi there, friends! My name is Penny, and I am addicted to challenges. I rarely miss a week of participating in the blog challenges, and I try to do all the monthly Layout-a-Week challenges, too. It's a great way to find inspiration, and there are drawings for gift cards. Win/win! Last week, I combined a weekly challenge and sketch challenge and ended up with this anniversary card. I also combined some of my newest products and some old ones. The "celebrate" die came in my last box from Studio Calico. Love this script! And I mainly used the Pop Art card kit - one of my newer favorites. I wanted some pastel ink colors and reached to the bottom of my basket and found two of the oldest ones I own. I couldn't believe they still work! I also pulled older scraps of paper from my scrap file for the light blue, grid paper, and hot pink circle.

So my challenge for you is to combine the old and the new. Use some of your new stuff, but look back in your stash to see what you can repurpose to make it work. Obviously, we all have different stuff, and what seems "old" to you might be from last June. Or your newest purchase might be from April! No worries. (Between you and me, my pink ink pad was at least 8 years old!) I can't wait to see what you create and what your old and new choices are!

Now it’s your turn to create a project based on Penny's challenge! Share your new project for the challenge in the Studio Calico gallery (add the hashtag #SCchallenge to make it easier to find!), then link up your project in the comments of this post by December 14th to be entered to win a $5 gift card to the Studio Calico Shop! This week's challenge winner will be announced in the December 19th Layout of the Week post.
