What's in a name? A trip to Savannah.

So of course as soon as we got to Savannah we had to get ice cream. Normal, right? Leopold’s Ice Cream has been a crowd pleaser since 1919, and once I tasted the honey almond and cream, I understood why.

In the morning, we drove out of the city toward the beach to Breakfast Club for breakfast on Tybee Island (get the pecan waffles!). The island was a great place to bum out on the beach all day or rent bicycles and explore.

Driving back, we stopped at what was my favorite stops of the trip, Wormsloe State park. It has a lovely 1.5-mile long avenue lined with over 100-year-old live oak trees.

Hungry yet again, we went to Back In the Day Bakery for some delicious salads and sandwiches, but stayed for the lavender shortbread cookies and the adorable set up. Don’t even get me started on their gallery wall and all their florals — I was obsessed.

What’s a girl’s trip without shopping? And Savannah sure does have a lot of shopping! While it is probably most known for its antique shops, The Paris Market on Broughton Street was where we spent the most time. Beauty products, café, children’s boutique and home décor galore, this place had everything, and I can’t believe I walked out with as little as I did.

Is there anything as wonderful, or more southern, than sitting down for tea after a day of shopping? In my experience, no there isn’t. So if you also want to bask in the glory of drinking tea and eating scones in a repurposed pharmacy full of Tiffany Co. windows then make sure go to Gryphon’s Tea Room.
