This week, our Scrapbook sketch features dominant alphas, our Documenter sketch uses two cards with colorful captions and our Card sketch features Valentine's Day appropriate background. Get creative and be sure to share your projects here with us! We can't wait to see what you create! Today, Lisa Spangler shares her take on the Documenter sketch.

This week, our Scrapbook layout comes from Swim by Kelly Noel:

This week, our Documenter layout comes from 1 Favorite by Jamie Waters:

This week, our card comes from Forever Us by Keisha Campbell:

Hi hi! Hope you're having a great weekend with time to get crafty! I have to tell ya, as soon as I saw Jamie's Documenter spread in my inbox I instantly thought of making a card with a 2-part message so I just HAD to use that sketch. I'd have never thought of doing this layout on my own.

I started out by stamping the flowers from the Encouragement Stamp + Die set by Jasmine Jones with Color Theory Coral Bay pigment ink and then heat embossing it with clear embossing powder on watercolor paper.

Then I rubbed some Color Glass Slipper Dye ink on the lid of the pad and used a water brush to pick up the color and watercolor the flowers. I love how this lets the colors match perfectly -- plus this way you get more from your supplies! To wrap it up I made a little nest out of thread and layered the "Always" message over top. This thread was my Grandma's so is really near and dear to me. I thought it went with the paper so well.

Then for the lower part of the card, I stamped the "here for you" with black ink, and layered it to the patterned paper from the Arendal pad and then added the stitching. I've been trying not to hoard paper this year -- so far, so good! LOL!

To finish off the card, I attached the pieces with foam tape and then added some enamel dots -- and that was that. Can't wait to see what you all do with the sketches and hope you have a great week! -- Lisa xo

Supplies: Encouragement Stamp + Die set by Jasmine Jones; Color Theory pigment ink - Coral Bay; Color Theory dye ink - Glass Slipper; Color Theory green enamel dots; Arendal paper pad; foam tape, clear embossing powder (Hero Arts), thread, more enamel dots from my stash, water brush (Ranger)

I used Arendal to create a layout using the SB sketch.
The paper works so much better once I took away the pink.

Loved Lisa's take on the Documenter sketch, so I kind of lifted her card. :)

I used the scrapbook sketch but converted it to 8.5x11. I love this sketch as it was a great one to break back into those fab chipboard alpha from Lisse ST. Scrapbook kit. I painted them red.

Here's a card based on the Card sketch, also used it for the LOAW challenge, using just three randomly chosen inks! Fun sketch!
