I’m determined to keep up with my memory keeping this year! I have a free-form approach to documenting, rather than going by weeks. This is my first spread of January, and I created it simultaneously with my title page so that it would all be cohesive. I decided on a 6x12 title page (seen here) this year, so I knew my first spread would have the back of the title page on the left. I’ve always wanted to do a confetti pocket (which I created with my Fuse tool), so I used some sequins from a previous Studio Calico kit, and added in some foil stars that I clipped off our New Year’s headbands (which you can see me wearing in the photos). I also included the happy New Year banner from the headband in one of the pockets. It's a short spread, so it mainly just covers New Year's Eve and the first day of January. I try to stick to the monthly kit to make it quick and easy, so this spread is almost all from the Arendal kit, with just a few extra pieces from my stash. 16 is my lucky number, so I’m really looking forward to this year!
