Tutorial: Using the Savannah Documenter Kit with Kelly Noel
For this 4" x 6" card, I wanted to fill in the circle inside the text. I used an exacto knife to cut out the inside of the circle, but you can use a circle punch if you have one that's the right size. The back of this card was white, so I covered the white circle I had cut out with the vellum heart stickers from the kit. I layered different sizes and colors, which looks neat since they are somewhat transparent.

I added some adhesive to the punched circle around the hearts and stuck it to the back of the 4" x 6" card. I love the way the hearts are peeking through, but how they drift over the edge of the circle as well!

This next card was super simple! I created these tiny butterflies using just a a pen and the tiny wood veneers from the kit. A little dab of glossy accents adhered the hearts and then I added the antenna detail with a black pen.

I always love the journal cards that are covered about 3/4 of the way up (or down, depending on how you look at it) with a pattern. I use these cards a lot in the basic form, adding a small photo to the patterned part of the card and then journaling in the blank space. I had the idea to create a pocket with this card. To start, I used a ruler and an exacto knife to cut a slit along the pattern/blank line of the card being careful to not cut all the way to the edges.

Next, I adhered the cut card on the edges and stuck it onto a plain journal card to create a pocket. It's a simple little pocket that's great for holding ephemera!

For my next card, I stamped one of the phrases from the kit stamp set multiple times onto a plain grid card. Using watercolors, I painted over the stamped phrases. *Note: To avoid smearing the ink, next time I'll paint the watercolor stripes first, let dry and then stamp over the stripes. ;)
