Member Challenge | AngelaTombari
This week, our member Angela (AngelaTombari), wants you to frame a photo with self-made flowers. Our members are so talented and we love seeing your work in the gallery! Check back each week as we ask one of our members to inspire you with a challenge based on one of their projects from our member gallery. Be sure to visit Angela in the member gallery to see more of her work and keep up with her on her blog here: indeedconfetti.blogspot.it.

Hi everybody, I'm really excited to be here with you today for a new week challenge.
The idea of this layout come from the paper itself. The black and white flower pattern reminds me of a colouring page, so the idea to paint some of the flowers around the photo. I choose watercolour because of their delicate appeal and then I decided to frame the photo with lots and lots of flowers. I punched them using solid color papers and since I wanted the flowers to be similar to the paper design, I outlined each flower with a black fine liner following the same doodle. The word NOPE was perfect for the pic, a selfie that one of my colleague didn't want to take! And voilà!
Then, here we are, I challenge you to frame your pic with self made flowers of any kind, using paper, thread, fabric or simply drawing them. Have fun!

What a beautifully inspiring page and great challenge! I pulled out my Quickutz hand tool and a couple of flower dies to make some flowers and used enamel dots for the middles. I marked them up a little with a white chalk marker: http://www.studiocalico.com/galleries/188077-merry-bright

I cut these flowers a few days ago on my silhouette from watercolor paper. Just got around to creating the layout finally today.
