LOTW | chancejordan1

Our Layout of the Week comes from Chance (chancejordan1). Her pretty layout captured the attention of the Studio Calico community! To keep up with her, be sure to follow her here in the Member Gallery or visit her blog here: http://chances-corner.blogspot.co.uk/

I created this layout for two of the NSD challenges on the boards, Go Big and Adding Text. It started with the large photo of my niece playing with Lego, to which I added two digital stamps from the Walden Project Life add on before printing to add the physical embellishments. I ended up printing the photo too small but rather than reprint I added some of the gorgeous gold foil paper from Savannah SB kit along the sides to make it 9X12. I really wanted to use all the labels from the Purl add on but in the end used only one as prompt for my journalling. I love how it made me tell a different side to the story than I had initially planned. I then layered a piece of ephemera, also from Purl, underneath that and added the acrylic ampersand on top of that. To finish, I threw on a cork heart and a few of the cork plus signs from the Pop Art PL kit. Big, BIG thanks to the community to choosing this layout as their LOTW!

It all looks intended! That is always the case when I start a project too. Great layout!

Beautiful! I love the look of confetti hearts around the edge... & I was happy to see I won (didn't even see that till after I read the whole article).
