Thanks for choosing my layout "Day Trip" as the Layout of the Week! The layout came together very quickly after being inspired by the latest Studio Calico Class "Summer of Sketches". I took a sketch from both Jamie Waters and Kelly Noel's layouts to create my layout. I LOVE sketches because it takes out the guess work for me. It also helps me use my scrap stash ;) I had been hoarding some older Crate Paper's chipboard pieces and it was time to use them. Since I wanted to include multiple photos, I printed the pictures smaller. I was pleasantly surprised when I realized they fit perfectly in some chipboard frames I had in my stash. I mostly used the Scout Scrapbook kit. I placed pop dots behind the pictures to give it some dimension. I love that the scrapbook kits are so versatile that they can be used together with most of my own stash.
