Documenter Kit Workshop - Jenn Picard

Jennifer is a lover of stamps, ink and paper. She feels fortunate to be a mom to three busy kids and wife to a chef. She loves photographing anything and everything, and her kids lovingly (or not so lovingly!) dub her “the mamarazzii.” Her approach to pocket scrapping is to capture the everyday, including those not so perfect moments and images. She feels we should scrap them all; after all life doesn’t have an edit button!

Favorite things about the month's kit:

The documenter kit this month has a very colorful palette with a touch of whimsy added from the theme of the cards and die cuts. The cards this month include some of my favorites ever. I love that there are several cards with silver foil details as well as wonderful quotes and words.

What she'll be teaching:

In the first lesson, we will be focusing on letting a quote or words inspire your pages. In the second lesson, we will look at scrapping those not-so-perfect photos and ways to make them work. Lastly, we will look at how to create balance by adding little details.

Takeaways:

I think that, more than anything, I want subscribers to take away the fact that documenting the everyday can be fun and easy - that you don’t have to have the perfect photo, that you can still create a meaningful page with just a few photos. And above all else, that there are no set rules - this is your story to tell and only you can tell it.

Planner Kit Workshop - Jen Evans

I make my home in the Pacific Northwest along with my supportive husband, Dave, and two children, Ethan (9) and Bethany (3). I have been an artist as long as I can remember, but had given up until seventeen years ago, when my twin sister introduced me to scrapbooking and paper crafts. It was then I realized my love for paint and mixed media could be used with scrapbooking! During the day I am a work-from-home mother and deep in my planner. At night, I love getting my hands dirty painting and crafting! I am also a consumer of chocolate.

Favorite things about the month's kit:

Washi holders – I mean, really?! How cute is that acrylic cat washi tape holder?! When the washi is wrapped around it, it looks like a darling collar. When I opened the kit and saw it, I dropped everything to dress it up! I also love the “What’s the Plan” sticker, and had to make something special for it to stand out in my planner. I loved helping inspire the free digital downloads for this month's workshop! I asked Studio Calico if they would design a black and white PLUS a colored download so that I could foil the black and white version. They were gracious to do so!

What she'll be teaching:

I have several planners and wanted to share with you my favorite ways to plan in my Memory Planner, Personal Planner, and Bullet Planner Pages. For the first lesson, I will be sharing how I document my everyday quickly with photos. In my second lesson, I share how I use my Personal Planner for work while customizing the digital download to match! Lastly, together we can create inspirational bullet journal pages to add to your planners.

Takeaways:

In this workshop, it doesn’t matter what kind of planner you own, you will learn how to stretch your kit to use it in multiple ways! Whether it is documenting one little thing everyday in your Memory Planner, creating your own bullet journal pages or customizing your downloads, you will take away tips and tricks that you will continue to use month after month.

Scrapbook Kit Workshop - Michelle Wedertz

Michelle lives in California and enjoys being within a few hours drive of both the beach and mountains - two of her favorite places. When she’s not busy attempting to keep up with her three active kiddos, she enjoys playing with pretty paper, finding and reading books, and watching re-runs of Friends.

Favorite things about the month's kit:

Right away, I think of the great colors - that blue is amazing - and the fun patterns. And then my mind wanders to the sweet and happy diecuts. It is all just too pretty!

What she'll be teaching:

In lesson one, I am going to show you how you can freshen up a go-to design with a new technique. Lesson two has you cutting up your patterned paper. Finally, in lesson three, I help you mix and match patterned paper in a way that doesn’t overwhelm the important stuff - the story.

Takeaways:

Creating new layouts doesn’t need to be time consuming or ground breaking. Instead of reinventing the wheel, I am going to show that by making some minor change ups to your favorite designs, you can create layouts that are both fun and quick to pull together.
