LOTW | Mindi

Our Layout of the Week, Project Life Week 5, comes from our member Mindi (username angelgrl11979). Mindi's fun Documenter spread really stood out in the gallery with its colorful photos and fun use of text on the photos. Here's what Mindi has to say about her layout:

I do most of my documenting pocket page style nowadays and typically it's in a weekly format. It just so happens that this particular week was very lacking in photos. I took the kids on a nature scavenger hunt one afternoon. I ended up with a ton of fun photos from our outing and not much else. This lead to me coming up with the idea of using a large photo to take up some space and double as a title card. So I cropped the photo to fit into the two 4" x 6" pockets along the top. From there, I decided to decorate the star transparency piece that I had used in the previous week. The brown puffy letter stickers were the perfect thing to spell out "HUNT" on the star, the color fit in great with my photos. I printed out a few more photos after that to get a feel of what colors I wanted to incorporate, picking out a few journaling cards that went well with my photos. I put the finishing touches on it using some wood veneer pieces spread around, some stamping, and a few fun quotes that I came across that week.
