This week, our scrapbook sketch is a 9" x 12" layout with a bold title and embellishing. Our card sketch features lots of fun stamping and layering, and our pocket page sketch uses an embellished 3" x 4" journaling card with a stamped background and a 3" x 4" photo. Creative Team member Kelly Noel is joining us this week and sharing her take on the week's scrapbook sketch! Be sure to follow Kelly here at SC to see more of her work and keep up with her.
Our scrapbook sketch comes from Brooke Takara's Summer Memorandum layout:

And here's Kelly's take on our scrapbook sketch:
Working with sketches is one of my favorite ways to get into the creative groove. They are such a great jumping off point! For this layout, I was inspired by Brooke's layout sketch. I loved the patterned paper detail at the top of her page and mimicked the same look here with the diamonds at the top of my layout.
I've been hoarding that adorable puppy/kitty paper from the Young at Heart kit, because it's so darn cute! I'm a pretty literal scrapper though, so I used these puppy pictures from our trip to a guide dog training facility this summer. It was a perfect match! I kept my photo and title placement pretty similar to the sketch and this layout came together in no time.
Supplies: Kit - Young at Heart Scrapbook Kit; Stamp - Nick Stamp Set; Ink - Studio Calico Color Theory Pigment Ink ("Coral Bay", "Sunny Day", "Glass Slipper"); Other - shipping tag
