Using the Sonnet Documenter Kit with Laetitia Poissy

Tags:

What I appreciate the most in these Documenter kits is that the cards and embellishments are so well-matched, and they give me a great color palette to begin with. I always want to respect a designated color combo in my projects, most often comprised of three or four different colors. My pictures for this week were quite colorful, so I wanted to make them stand out by creating a layout that's otherwise fairly light and bright. I like simplicity in my albums, and I try to avoid going overboard.

I added typed journaling to two of the main kit's pocket cards, typing my words on plane white paper before cutting and adhering them in a block on one card and in strips on another. I chose to cover the bottom half of the first card with a block of journaling, and then added the "HAPPY HOUR" stamp from the 4x6 Tasty Beverage set as a buffer between my journaling and the card's design. On the second card, I cut the text into strips and added a small sticker to dress it up. The small cactus clip in the Bright Star add-on kit was perfect to decorate the photo below my second journal card.

For my last picture, I thought the transparent "adventure" would be the ideal finishing touch. I find those transparent words to be perfect embellishments, and I think they create a very nice effect in our scrapbook pages. I chose to leave the two coral-toned cards as they were because I love them like that. Those two unaltered cards really dress up my page!

Thanks for taking a peek, and I hope I've inspired you to get crafting!
