Sunday Sketch | Anna-Maria Wolniak

This week, our scrapbook sketch is a 12" x 12" layout with a single photo placed within a wreath of embellishments. Our card sketch is a Valentine's Day card using lots of stamping and a diagonal sentiment, and our pocket page sketch has two 3" x 4" pocket cards, one used as-is and the other with journaling and a title. Creative Team member Anna-Maria Wolniak is joining us this week and sharing her take on the week's scrapbook sketch! Once again, I had the honor of working with a sketch based on another of Catherine's layouts. You probably recognize Catherine's projects - they are always perfect! It usually means that you can't create anything better or as good as Catherine's already done ;)

So, once again, I was working with something special. Her layout is perfectly simple. I decided to use all of the Valentine's pieces from the Roman Holiday kit and its add-ons for my variation. I grabbed all the stickers and combined them into this rich, full-of-love circle around the picture of my beloved son. I also sprinkled in a few journaled phrases among the hearts.

You can also spy huge red and magenta splatters underneath some of the embellishments - I made them using a big brush dipped into Mister Huey's mists.
