Sunday Sketch | Nancy Damiano

This week, our scrapbook sketch is a 12" x 12" winter layout using pocket cards and journal strips. Our card sketch uses a tag, ribbon and ephemera to add dimension, and our pocket page sketch features an embellished 4" x 6" photo and a layered 4" x 6" title card. Creative Team member Nancy Damiano is joining us this week and sharing her take on the week's pocket sketch! Be sure to follow Nancy here at SC to see more of her work and keep up with her.

Our scrapbook sketch comes from Anna-Maria Wolniak's It's Chilly layout:

Our card sketch comes from Carson Riutta's Hello Snow Day card:

And our pocket page sketch comes from Jenn Picard's December Moments spread:

And here's Nancy's take on our Documenter sketch:

I used the Documenter sketch as a blueprint for my title card. I love how the inspiration 4" x 6" card in the bottom right of Jenn's spread appears to be half stamped and half white. I mimicked this look by covering half of a printed card from the Roman Holiday Documenter kit with white cardstock.

I was also inspired by the layered title on the same card. Building on the chipboard, I added a die cut, sticker, staple and enamel heart, similar to the sketch. The sketch also highlights using a simple die cut on top of a photo, so I added a star die cut to a blank space on my photo. I love how this adds texture and a pop of color!

Supplies: Kits - "Roman Holiday" Documenter Kit, Funny Face Add-On Kit; Stamps - New Year Kick Off Stamp, Roman Holiday Icon Stamp, Adulting 4x6 Stamp

I flipped the scrapbook sketch upside down for this one. (sorry about the awful picture. it's been so gray here.)
