Video | Using the Confidant Planner Kit with Carla De Taboada

Hello, everyone, and welcome back to the Studio Calico blog! It’s Carla here, and today I’d like to share with you my weekly spread in my Studio Calico planner using the Confidant Planner Kit! I love to play with my planner supplies, and I always try to use them in different ways. For example, as much as I love to use my A5 papers to add some photos or to create some fun pockets, I also like to cut thin and thick strips to decorate my pages, as you can see here.

I also love to add some layers using my stickers and sticky notes. I think these are great spots to highlight some important notes!

Take a look at how this spread came together in the following video!

I like to try new recipes each month, and I usually add photos of the recipes I find online to my planner for reference. Once I try them out and I prepare my own meals or drinks, I take my own photos to add to my journaling spreads. This time, I found three different recipes for pink lemonade that I want to learn how to prepare to be ready for spring!

Adding some special touches (like a heart shape to that cute tag using some stitching, reusing your glassine bags to create pockets, or even decorating your paper clips with some elements from your kits) to the supplies you already have in your kit, make your planner spread unique. It can motivate you to better keep track of everything!

I also used the Confidant and BFF kits this time to document in my Color Crush traveler’s notebook. Last September, my sweet little girl spent a week in the hospital due to a terrible rash because of chocolate poisoning. Yes, chocolate!

Take a look at this quick video of my process for this spread!

Creating watercolor backgrounds is so fun and relaxing! And I love to print or type my journaling on vellum paper. I think it creates a lovely place to add my thoughts and feelings.

Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope I’ve inspired you to use your supplies in more fun and creative ways! For more inspiration, you can find me on Instagram and YouTube, too! Happy planning, and happy crafting! ♥
