Video | Using The Birds and the Bees Scrapbook Main Kit with Maggie Massey

Hello, hello, everyone!

Maggie here, with a look into how I created this layout with The Birds and the Bees Main Scrapbook Kit!

I just love using bright, bold patterns on my layouts–but I also love using plain, neutral backgrounds. Hmmm...what to do, what to do? Take a look at this video to see how I solved my dilemma.

Here are a couple things to remember from my video:

• Adding recurring shapes (on my page, circles) and using patterned paper (and photos!) to a more understated background is a great way to add color to layouts with a lot of white space.
• Be aware of pattern/color placement on your page. Add space between like colors and patterns, and vary your paper motif (pattern/design) sizes.
• Pops of black can really add a ton of visual interest to your layouts.
• Don't worry too much about perfect placement–just glue it down!
