Using the Alfresco Scrapbook Kit with Jen Chapin

Tags:

Hi, everyone! Jen here, and I'm sharing a layout today that I created with the Alfresco Scrapbook Kit and add-ons.

I started with a sheet of white cardstock that I knew I wanted to mount on the wave patterned paper from Crate Paper. I squirted a few dots of Color Theory paint along the top of the page, then used my palette knife to swipe the color down the paper. It takes a bit to dry but the effect is so cool!

I wanted to stick with a blue color theme as this photo was about my son, Connor, learning how to swim. Once the paint was dry, I layered on my photo and embellishments. I also stitched around the edge of the white cardstock for a bit of added texture.

The last thing I did was add a date stamp and print my journaling. I hope you guys try this technique sometime. It's a really great way to add a bit of mixed media to your layout without all the mess.

Have a great day!
