10 Years of Growth

Ten years ago, Studio Calico started with one kit, packed around a dining room table. Over the years, the company moved into April's garage, and then an office space, and then an office with a warehouse, and then an office with a BIGGER warehouse. We've added add-ons, released full collections, added new subscription types...and added employees to help us support it all. GROWTH is definitely something we've embraced over the years. I came across this blog post from the early days of SC—it's a fun to read and compare it to where we are now!

SC itself isn't the only thing to grow over the last ten years...within our community there have been lots of babies, weddings, and new houses. We've seen graduations, new jobs, hurdles overcome, and goals met. We've watched our crafty stashes grow—and with it, our pile of documented memories has grown, as well. Today, we invite you to look back at 10 years ago you. Take a moment to celebrate everything that got you to where you are today. We'd love to hear how you've grown—whether it's personally or as a memory keeper!

I think I have grown a lot as a person. I became a mum of 3, did a career switch, and just done a coaching course. I have also discovered that I have a love for scrapbooking, paints and anything crafty! I did tried the piano, but it didn't work out. Too much work... hahahaha

I have also learnt to be more empathetic, compassionate towards others feelings. I am also now more aware of people around me, especially those in needs. I hope to be able to reach out and help more people in the future.

It is fun to think about how much Studio Calico, our styles, and our lives have changed over the last ten years. My daughters were in Kindergarten and 2nd grade then, and now the younger one is driving and the older one is heading to college in the Fall.
