10th Anniversary Challenge | Add Glitz

For even more 10th Anniversary fun, we've rounded up ten of our favorite past blog challenges. We've asked our current Creative Team to share their take on these fun challenges, and we hope you'll play along too!

In this challenge from 2013, Jen Jockisch and Nicole Samuels challenged you to add a little gold glitz to your projects. Metallics are still on trend—from sequins and glitter to embossing powder and mist, there are lots of ways to incorporate gold embellishments and details onto your projects!

Jen added some glitz to her card simply by embossing her stamped image with some Gold Zing! embossing powder.

Nicole added little gold accents to her layout—gold star sequins, gold alpha stickers, and a gold paper clip.

And here's Creative Team member Anna-Maria's take on this past challenge:

Five years ago, Jen made an awesome card with some gold embossing on it. You know that I am much better with scrapbook pages than cards, so I made a layout and I incorporated gold embellishments, acrylic paint, and rub-ons the old fashioned way.

First, I made a background with a stencil and gold acrylic paint. Then, I used a really old Studio Calico wood rub-on and I mixed these things with some elements from the June Here & There Add-on Kit. I'd love to see how you add gold elements to your project!
