Video | Using the Silver Lake Lodge Documenter Kit with Carson Riutta

Hello, my Studio Calico friends! I’m so stoked to be here today sharing a documenter process video with you. I decided to create a page documenting the first few weeks of our summer so far and I love the way the "Silver Lake Lodge" Kits and extras made it so easy to put together. Like most of you, I adore the "Summer Camp" embellishment kit with all its iridescent sparkle and bright pink pops. I dug deep into the die-cut pack from that kit to embellish this layout. I also relied heavily on those fantastic Twine+Ink rainbow asterisks from the main "Silver Lake Lodge" Documenter Kit. I hope you enjoy the video and I’ll see you on the flipside.

I hope you enjoyed the video as much as I enjoyed making the page. I thought I'd leave you with a few tips and tricks to help you mix up your next documenter project.

• Find a new pocket for your title card—mix it up!
• Set yourself free from the worry of white borders on your photos. Use some photos with them and some without. You’ll see that you hardly notice the inconsistency.
• Cut a 4" x 6" photo in half to fill two adjacent 3" x 4" pockets.
• Don’t be afraid to cut up your embellishments. Those frames in the video were stunning but they were much easier to use as die cut phrases.
