Using the In the Spirit Kit with Anna-Maria Wolniak

I know, I know—we still have a whole month until Halloween night. But you've probably seen the "In the Spirit" Add-on Kit this month, and if you're anything like me, you can't wait that long to use it! So I decided to go ahead and play with these fabulous supplies and make something scaaaaary... :D

You may not have any Halloween photos to scrap yet, but what do you think about tiny bags which you can fill with candies? Or you could use them as a tag for an apple and a little Halloween present for someone you love, or as decoration on a plate during family dinner! I made a few different options using only "In the Spirit" goodies and some recycle vellum baggies. These fun DIY crafts were so fun to make and not hard at all! You can make your own at home.

There are so many possibilities for embellishing the bags. One idea is to create your own cardboard title using the stamp set, as you can see in the picture above. Each bag is unique—the only common theme is layers! The more, the better.

First, I started with the smaller ones. You can find these beauties with gold dots in your add-on.

Then I kept the spooky theme going and decorated other bags. These are what Studio Calico usually uses as packages for the stickers, transparencies, and documenter journaling cards. Get creative and use items you might otherwise throw away—they look beautiful when you add embellishments!

Now check out the details. I was able to create so many spooky bags with this kit! I know you feel inspired now—don't wait for October to get started creating these fun crafts! Make your own Halloween bags and share them in the Studio Calico gallery and on the message boards. I can't wait to see what you create. :)
