Documenter Kit Workshop - Amy Vanden Brink

Amy Vanden Brink is a Canadian piano teacher who scrapbooks in Edmonton, Alberta. She loves to document the adventures of her 4-year-old son Max and his puppy, Farley, as well as her husband of 12 years, Chris, who is a great supporter of her memory keeping and constant encouragement to keep going! She enjoys many hobbies in addition to scrapbooking: playing piano, reading, gardening, pottery, sewing, and even a little bit of cross-stitching.

Favorite things about the month's kit:

I love the "Starlight" Documenter Kit! The gold word art by Jasmine Jones is sure to be one of your instant favorites like it was for me! The great selection of sequins is perfect for bringing out the great colors in the kit, and the word strips include some really fun sentiments.

What she'll be teaching:   

In this workshop, I’m going to show you three really fun layouts. I'll make a layout using no embellishments (and it’s still super adorable), as well as a brightly colored spread that uses all but one piece of the free printable. I’ll also show you two different ways you can use the sequins included in the kit.

Takeaways:  

I hope that you'll come away from this workshop feeling that you can fully embrace a great variety of color! The kit is extremely versatile and, together with the printable, it can be easy to pull a spread together without much effort.

Planner Kit Workshop - Ashley Fowler

Ashley is a Texas girl, family-obsessed, mom to Ava Kate and wife to David. The best parts of the day are spending time with family and fitting in that much needed crafty time. Ashley enjoys creating anything with paper from planner spreads to Project Life® layouts and of course, the new trend of Traveler’s Notebook pages. She loves keeping track of small achievements to celebrate those little moments.

Favorite things about the month's kit:

My favorite things about the "Starlight" Kit would have to be the color scheme and the functional list pad (monthly goals/focus, etc.). I just love these colors for the fall season as they’re not typical, but perfect. The functional pad that you can slide right into your planner is great! I love getting a mixture of functional elements and decorative elements for my planner.

What she'll be teaching:   

In the first lesson, I’ll be creating a spread using the main kit only. This lesson will include how I use the A5 Paper for memory keeping and tracking my spending and the functional list for goal setting. In the second lesson, I’ll demonstrate how I used the exclusive digitals along with the main kit. The labels in this class digital are EVERYTHING. The last lesson will include both add-on stamp sets for those of you who can’t get enough of ink.

Takeaways:  

I would love for subscribers to walk away with ideas that are both creative and functional. If you’re more of a scrapbooker, you can include these elements in your planner to fulfill the creative aspect. If you love a planner simply to stay on task, you should gain some tips to stay focused on meeting your goals. Plus, a pretty planner never disappoints.

Scrapbook Kit Workshop - Nathalie DeSousa

Nathalie is blessed to be a stay-at-home wife and mom to two teenagers and a Boston Terrier baby! She is a self-proclaimed paper addict who enjoys capturing and documenting every minute of her everyday life. Her love for family, photography, art, and memory keeping lead her to scrapbooking. In her own words, she is "living an inspired life.”

Favorite things about the month's kit:

The "Starlight" Kit is full of color! As a lover of black and white photography, I always look for lots of color to add to backgrounds on my pages. This month’s kit color scheme is so versatile that it can be used on all subjects. The large acetate shapes were one of the first embellishments I was drawn to, as they are bold and can easily be used on all types of projects.

What she'll be teaching:   

In the first lesson, we'll be focusing on adding a touch of boldness to a simple but meaningful layout by using some of the kit’s embellishments. In the second lesson, we'll be looking at a quick way to combine some of the kit’s designs with the exclusive digital cut files. The last lesson is all about creating new patterns using this month’s stamp set that can easily mix with the designs of the papers in a fun layout.

Takeaways:  

My goal of this workshop is to show that simplicity in design can easily be used to bring boldness to a page. I want subscribers to see that eye-catching pages can come together in a short amount of time by combining patterns, colors, and a heartfelt story.
