Using the Homestead Kits with Anna-Maria Wolniak

Tags:

This month, I wanted to stretch my supplies as far as possible and use up my scraps. I used a lot of patterned papers and embellishments on my Creative Team gallery projects, and that left me with a challenge to create something new. So I decided to make this layout from my leftover bit and pieces. The lovely paper pad in the More Details add-on kit was the perfect addition to my supplies for this project. :)

I started this layout with layers of various patterned papers. I used a few squares from the add-on paper pad and some scraps from the main Scrapbook Kit. You can also spy some sticky edges from the main kit embellishments.

I hadn't used any of the chipboard alphas for my November gallery projects, so I had the opportunity write any word I wanted on this project—I had the whole alphabet! These navy letters fit so well with the main kit colors, and I have to admit I hadn't noticed them earlier during my work with the "Homestead" Kits. But that worked out for the best since they were perfect for my title on this page!

I found a place among the layering for a piece of a craft bag. I really like to add elements like this from my stash, as they are like ready-made embellishments and usually fit everywhere. To finish off the layering, I added a small, circular label under the photo. It's a great finishing touch.

My "scrap" layout shows how amazing the November Kits are—how these various colors and patterns fit together perfectly and make a nice autumn mood on a background. Have fun with "Homestead," guys!
