Using the Northern Lights Kits with Carla De Taboada

Hello, hello, everyone and welcome to the Studio Calico blog again! It’s Carla here, and today, I’ll be sharing my last weekly spread for the year in my Hello Forever planner. For this spread, I’ve used the "Northern Lights" Planner and Documenter Kits. 

The first thing I did, as usual, was add my stickers, washi strips, and stamps here and there to prepare my pages. Then, I grabbed my black gel ink pen to write down some important notes. This week is probably one of my favorites of the year, as we’re not only celebrating Jesus’ birthday but mine, too!  

The stamp set I used for this spread is Goals by Hello Forever. It’s perfect to create lists for future and present plans and to get ready for 2018, as well! I did this on the back side of my dashboard by creating a list for some goals I have for next year using my We R Memory Keepers typewriter.  

As you know, I love to create something extra for my weekly spreads! So this time, I made a lovely shaker wreath dashboard using some elements from the "Northern Lights" Documenter Kit. For the wreath, I cut out one of the large journaling cards using my precision scissors. Then, I added a piece of acetate, some sequins, and foam adhesive tape. I attached this cute shaker directly to my pattern paper and added some gold string and ribbon from my stash.
