December 2017 Member Spotlight

My name is Asta Ivanoviene (@aasta). I live in Vilnius, Lithuania with my husband Viktoras and two children. Martynas will be 4 years old this summer and Beatrice gets 1 year old next month. I am stay at home mom at the moment, but I hope to get back to my previous job when Beatrice starts attending kindergarten. I have always loved handicrafts – I used to knit, crochet, sew, paint, etc. and then I discovered scrapbooking.

I've been a scrapbooker since 2007, a member of Studio Calico since October of 2011, and a subscriber since 2012. The first scrapbooking website I found was Two Peas In A Bucket and my favorite scrapbooker at the time was Ali Edwards. And she still provides the biggest inspiration for me.

I really love Studio Calico Documenter kits. My scrapbooking style is clean and simple, so I use the cards from the kits mainly for my Project Life albums, for each child album, mini travel albums and December Daily albums, while I use embellishments for my layouts. I love to be a part of Studio Calico community. I find a lot of inspiration among members and the Creative Team.

The must-have product for me are some patterned papers, white cardstock, alphas and some embellishments. I prefer simple word stickers, labels, etc.

I love my children albums. I have savored memorabilia from the day they both were born. I scrapbook every tiny victory, every moment of their happiness or despair. It is the project I treasure the most.

I can‘t wait to start working on my sister‘s baby album. Of course I will be documenting our daily life in the Project Life album for the eighth year in a row. Travels, birthdays and other not so exciting moments of our life will be captured and savored in a separate layout.

I would like to give a shout out to all of the members of the Studio Calico. You all provide inspiration and encouragement and I am honored to be a part of this community. Wishing you all a Happy New Year full of new adventures and new projects!
