We're thrilled to have the lovely and talented Azzari Jarrett as one of our guest designers this month and are excited to get to know her better today! Be sure to follow Azzari here at Studio Calico to keep up with her and see more of her beautiful work.
Hello! I'm Azzari—a photographer and designer who is inspired by simple, everyday moments. You can usually find me carrying one too many (film) cameras, with a toddler on my hip and two little girls by my side. I love to combine my images with words to document the story of my life. I also enjoy a good morning run, a daily cup of coffee, evenings on the beach, and most recently, painting with watercolor. I live with my husband and three daughters on the North Carolina coast.
Adventure Documented – I was so inspired by the colors in the "Summit" Documenter Kit, as well as the gold foil included in the journal cards. I knew this kit would be perfect for documenting our family trip to Asheville, North Carolina. I love to use all the elements in the kit—you’ll see that I cut out the “thrill seeker” 3" x 4" journal card and attached it to 4" x 6" journal card. I think this kit is perfect for documenting an outdoors theme!
Park City Trip – I combined elements from the "Summit" Documenter Kit and January 2018 4x6 paper pad to create this layout of a recent girls’ trip to Park City, Utah. It was only my second time skiing, so it was quite an adventure! I love how the blues in the kit pair so well with the white snow. I also embellished this layout with stickers from "Sugar Mountain" and the stamps from the 4x6 Adventure stamp set.
Me + You – Is it ever too late to document your baby’s photos? I don’t think so! This layout features me and my third baby girl. I thought I knew everything there was to know about being a girl mom, but she continues to teach me about daily patience, and most importantly, true love. I love how our bond shows through these photos paired with the "Summit" Documenter Kit, embellishments from "Sugar Mountain," and stamps from the 4x6 Love stamp set.
