Video | Using the Candyland Documenter Kit + Digitals with Pam Baldwin

Hi, friends! Today I'm sharing two ideas for incorporating digital products with the "Candyland" Documenter Kit and a process video to show you how I did it. I'm using the printable journaling cards from the "Candyland" Documenter Kit, as well as the Good Job digital stamp designed by Life.Love.Paper.

Watch my process in the following video.

Tips & Tricks:

  • One of the biggest advantages of using the digital stamps is the ability to adjust the scale of the images to fit your project. I loved being able to make that ribbon big enough to fill in the majority of my 3" x 4" pocket. It also allowed me to use the center of the ribbon as a journaling spot. If you haven't played with the digital stamps before, I'd highly recommend it. You'll be hooked. :)
  • You can pull colors from the digital cards in the Documenter Kit to help make sure your new designs coordinate and create a cohesive look and feel with the rest of your page.
  • Altering digital journal cards by adding a bit of white space for journaling is a great "best of both worlds" approach to be able to tell your stories AND include the beautiful designs from the kit.
  • Print your digital elements on photo paper to get bright, vibrant colors. I use "matte photo paper" from Staples.

Using digital elements along with my Documenter Kit really helps me get a ton of mileage out of my kits! I hope this has sparked some new ideas for you to play with. Thanks so much for stopping by today!
