Journaling Prompts | Bookmarked

Journaling is a great way to capture the details that make up your everyday life. Whether you're telling in-depth stories or simply captioning a photo, your words are important to preserving your memories for years to come. The following journaling prompts are perfect for pairing with this month's "Bookmarked" Kit, or just tuck them into your back pocket for a time when your creative mojo is low. Either way, we hope they’ll help inspire your next project!

Use the Yes/No stamp set to spark your journaling.

Candace Perkins used the stamp set from the main Documenter Kit to create repeated journaling across her spread, The Story of Week 5-2018. Not only does this technique provide her pages with consistency, but she was also able to tell in-depth stories!

Guest designer Laura Wonsik used the "yes" stamp from the set in two places on her project, Weekly Pocket Page Layout. The simple "yes" on a picture of freshly baked cookies says it all—and we love how she repeated the stamp on her journaling card with further details of her story!

Record the "right now" details.

Pam Baldwin captures a few "currently" details on the gorgeous floral card in the upper right-hand corner of her spread, Bookmarked Documenter Kit - Feb 1-4. These are the memories she'll never want to forget!

On her project, January 2018Kelly Noel journaled about small snapshots of her everyday life. From school projects to a new home to a reminder about how fast the years are flying by, these details are worth capturing!

Don't forget to document the not-so-happy moments, too!

On her spread, Bookmarked Documenter Kit - NopePam Baldwin perfectly recorded her family's feelings towards a particularly rough week. Between her photo, the raindrop journaling card, and the fun "no, nope, meh" card, she was able to document how ready to be done with winter they are!

Lisa Truesdell recorded one of life's more unfortunate moments in the pages of her notebook on her spread, No Good Very Bad Day. The "Bookmarked" Kit combined with the Oops stamp set by Life.Love.Paper help to perfectly document her story.

Life's not perfect and even the not-so-great moments deserve to be documented from time to time! We love these fun Oops Cards Laura Wonsik created to have on hand for the next time she inevitably has a day or moment that is just a big ole OOPS.

Record what you're watching.

Carson Riutta dedicated her spread, Boob Tube Faves, to all the shows her family is currently loving! The TV stamp set by Life.Love.Paper created the perfect title and captions for her project.

On her notebook spread, February Watch ListBarbara Picinich recorded her current favorite binge-worthy shows with the help of the TV stamp set by Life.Love.Paper. We love how she filled the TV stamp with images from each show!

Let the product do the talking for you.

On her spread A Week in the LifeCarson Riutta decided to omit her own journaling and let the photos and products speak for themselves—and we love the result! Her family's joy is perfectly captured in this spread.

Marie Lottermoser kept it simple on her spread, March Documenter, and achieved a simple and stunning look. By letting the products tell her stories, she was able to create a clean page that captures a look into her life right now.

There's so much you can say with the "Bookmarked" Kits and March add-ons. Which journaling prompt do you plan on trying out this month? Post your creations in the gallery and add a link in the comments. We can't wait to see what you'll make!
