#NSDSC15 | Challenge 06 - #instafun with Ginny Hughes and Maggie Massey

Stop leaving your photos on Instagram. Print those pictures out and put them to use in a project, like Ginny and Maggie do here!

Ginny Hughes: I love using Instagram photos on layouts because I feel like half of the work is already done for you! The photo is already edited and maybe a filter applied, the story might already be written up via your journaling on the Instagram app. All that is left to do is the fun stuff, embellishing and picking out your papers! I used some of the Baxter collection for this layout, it is so fun!

Supplies: Dean add on, Frank add on, Baxter Puffy Shape stickers , Baxter vellum hearts , Baxter Dog bundle, Calypso add on, Orange County ink pad , Inky Black ink pad, Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher

Maggie Massey: Having photos on your phone is fine...it's convenient and they are always there when you need them...but what good are they if no one (but you!) can see them? I know, I know...you share them on Facebook and Instagram – but it's not really the same as having them right there in your hands.

So it's time to get those photos OFF your phone and INTO an album! And I've got a super-quick project for you to create with those photos...one that (once you have your pictures in front of you) should take you no more than one hour to complete.

OK – so first we have to get those photos printed. My favorite way to do this...especially from Instagram...is with the Walgreens app. You simply download the app, open it, click on “Photos” - sign in to your IG account and click which photos you want printed. 30 minutes later your 4” perfectly square photos are ready to be picked up. It's probably the easiest thing you will do all day.

While you are waiting for your photos to be finished, gather a few supplies...some 4”x4” patterned paper & few little embellishments and a couple 1” book rings.

Pick up your photos...adhere each one to a piece of patterned paper, add an embellishment or two, punch a few holes and add your ring clips. Seriously...that's all there is to this project.

This is a great way to document an event (like I did here with a class I recently taught)...and it's easy enough that you can get your kids involved too! Remember, have fun with this...there are no rules! Just get those photos off your phone!
