Video | Using the Hey Girl Documenter Kit + Digitals with Pam Baldwin

Hi, friends! This is Pam, sharing a few ideas for working with this month's "Hey Girl" Documenter Kit along with the digital/printable journaling cards available in the shop. This month, I thought it might be fun to show you a few of the ways I work with and edit my photos.

Take a peek at the video below.

Tips & Tricks:

  • When you're taking photos for your projects, try leaving some extra white space when you set up your shot. It makes an excellent home for journaling, embellishments, or as in the video above, photo overlays!
  • Take a closer look at the PNG version of the digital/printable journaling cards, especially the ones with white backgrounds. They might actually have a transparent background, and that means they can double as overlays for your photos! I've used this technique on a small scale in my Documenter spread, but it would also look amazing on a larger scale (think 6" x 8", 8.5" x 11", 9" x 12", or 12" x 12" photos).
  • Do you have a collection of things that you want to include in your album that you can't physically put in your album? Consider photographing them on a white background and digitally collaging them together! I'll definitely be using this technique to add my kids' artwork to their school albums.

Thank you so much for stopping by today! As always, please let me know if you have any questions (or anything you'd like to see in future posts) in the comments below. Have a wonderful day!
