Double Scoop - Pebbles alphabet stamp

We love to bring you just released and just plain cool items in your kits - so when we jumped at the chance to add this new Pebbles alphabet stamp to our Double Scoop Project Life® kit. Here are a few tips for making the most of it.

The first thing you'll notice about this stamp is that it is BIG. It's 3.5in across, and almost 6in tall from the handle to the bottom. It has 12 letters across, and each row has the full alphabet, numbers from 0-9, as well as the symbols . - ! ? and #. Don't let that size intimidate you, because once you spend a little time with this stamp you won't be able to stop using it.

When you pick it up, turn it so that the letters are right side up. You'll start building your word or phrase on the right side, working backwards towards the left. Each of the bands has some wiggle room, and I like to squeeze the letters for my word together for better spacing. Instead of using a blank for a space between words, I just move the bands apart.

Once you've spelled out your word, push the extra bands to the side. This makes it easier to ink just the letters you want. Ink the stamp lightly - if you rock it, you may get ink along the edges and a messier impression. I recommend doing a few practice stamps on scrap paper to make sure you get the feel of inking / stamping before committing to doing it on your project.

You'll find lots of inspiration for using this stamp in our Creative Team gallery, but here are three ideas we didn't want you to miss :

Nicole Reaves stamped a fun caption right onto her photo :

Marcy Penner used it on an accent card, along with this adorable wood veneer camera.

Kinsey Wilson repeatedly stamped a word to fill in the frame on one of her journaling cards :

If you want to be one of the first people to get a hold of this new stamp, our DOUBLE SCOOP Project Life® kit is available now, either as a single purchase or as part of of a new subscription.
