Lovely | Deebee Ruiz

Hi, I’m Debee Ruiz and I'm the owner of Inspire Lovely on Etsy.  I’m here today to share this “lovely” page using the Antiquary add on kit,  “Vienna”.  I had the opportunity to create the stamp design in this kit & a page using it :)

I thought how fitting it would be to scrap a picture of one of my favorite & most loveliest of places, my little craft room. This photo is the top half of a hutch I have in my studio filled to the brim with spools of ribbons & twine among other craft notions that spark my creativity.  I layered the photo with a few paper pieces in the kit & used the SC cork embellishments to add dimension to the picture by placing it behind it.  I love the journaling tags in the kit & decided to stamp the design “Lovely” on a transparency so that it all fit on the tag.  Just a fun way to make stamps fit & it doesn’t distract from the overall design of the page :)  I also created a fun pom pom flower by using the tape that comes in this kit. Cutting about 5 inches of length, then folding it in half length wise. Then cut a series of slits along one edge. Roll it all together in a circular motion and you now have a fun floral pom pom embellishment. It reminds me of the paper pom poms i see everywhere at parties & also have a few hanging in my studio. It makes me happy :)  Finally, I added a few journaling strips along the bottom. I cut 3 pieces of paper from the kit. Then I used a liquid tape dryline (standard office supply) and drew a line along each strip. Doesn’t have to be even. I love the little imperfections & it plays well with the balance of the page. I then temporarily adhered the strips to a piece of paper and ran it through my typewriter and added my journaling. I sewed the pieces on my page with fun crazy sewing lines as my finishing touch.  I hope you enjoy this page & creating with the Lovely stamp.
