As I was out running errands the other day, I found this adorable skirt. I would’ve bought it right then and there if it were in a size to fit my daughter (who probably would’ve snubbed her nose and refused to wear it anyway).

So I decided to use this adorable polka dot skirt to inspire my card and my color challenge for you! Your challenge is to create a project (card, layout or otherwise) using this color scheme-navy, pool, lime, pink and GOLD! That’s right, GOLD! This girl loves gold! And guess what….it works fabulously with these colors.
Doesn’t this color scheme just make you dream of spring? I can't wait to see what you create with this color scheme! Ready, set, GO! (PS : want to see a video of how I made this card? Stop by my blog!)

(want to see more of Carissa's work? Follow her on Studio Calico, and find her on her blog, Instagram and Pinterest!)
Winners will be chosen on Thursday, January 16th at 5pm EST and will be announced on the blog Friday, the 17th. To be entered to win a prize from the Calico Closet, make sure to include #SCCROP2014 and Challenge #2 in your description when you upload your project to the gallery. You may enter multiple projects for more chances to win, and your project can be submitted to more than one challenge. And remember, every challenge entry tagged with #SCCROP2014 is entered for a chance at our Grand Prize!

Pretty! I will admit, I am not a huge fan of gold, so this should be a fun challenge for me. :)

I have a piece of paper sitting in my stash with those EXACT COLORS! What more exciting is when I acquired it, I seriously turned my nose up at it. It's funny that a challenge can make you excited to use something that you previously didn't like.
