#NSDatSC | Meet Your MB Challenge Hosts

We've invited some of our rewards members to help us celebrate NSD! They'll be posting on our message boards between 9am and 4pm EST- each will issue a challenge that will result in a thread filled with inspiration. ISing : I was a military kid born on base in Albany, Georgia where my father was stationed. Upon discharge, my father took a job in New Orleans and that’s where I lived and worked until 2003 when I married the love of my life. I started scrapbooking in 2004 when I had my first daughter. I have three children, one biological daughter (9), and my middle daughter (6) and son (5) whom we adopted from China. It has been a challenge adopting toddlers, but I wouldn’t change a thing.

I am Vice President of the Historical Association and I lovingly restored a 100+ year old house. My hobbies (when I have time!) are making things, gardening and reading. I decided to return to school at the age of 31 and am lucky enough to graduate next week. Although I have to admit, keeping up with one child’s photos and memories was not much of a challenge, printing photos in triplicate is quite daunting! That’s the reason I love my kits (Project Life and Scrapbook Main) from Studio Calico so much. I started subbing almost two years ago because I realized that I was so busy that I never set foot into a brick and mortar store anymore. At that rate, I realized I was not going to get anything done and decided to find a scrapbook subscription where it felt like I had a personal shopper go select products and bring them to me each month. When looking for a subscription, I stumbled across a blog post by Shimelle Laine who was the guest designer for SC that month. I remember being in awe, all of the products looked so amazing. I always look forward to a perfectly cultivated box of goodies from Studio Calico each month. I can honestly say that I have never been disappointed.

crafty chic girl : I'm a 30 year-old southern girl living in Arkansas and working as an Art Director for a furniture company. Currently single, I recently had the opportunity to move in with my grandmother to help her out after she had a heart attack last autumn. When not working I can usually be found out with friends or family, shopping or at home working on some kind of art project. I'm also a bit of a makeup junkie, love having my nose in a book or trying out new recipes in the kitchen. You can keep up with me on Instagram as I LOVE posting pics and I try to pop in on the Studio Calico message boards every day or so.

When I first started scrapbooking I kept finding that I never had pieces that really went together and that made it harder to create pages. Then I discovered Studio Calico! I've been addicted to their kits ever since. I love all the thought they put into how the kit flows and all the little detailed items they include. Now I just pull out a kit and jump right in whether I'm creating a scrapbook page, project life layout or card.

NinaST : Hi, my name is Nina Stenzel. I am 34 years old and I´m from Germany. I am married and we have a daughter. Her name is Mia. I´ve been scrapbooking on a regular base since the beginning of 2008. Since then I totally fell in love with all the beautiful papers and embellishments. I am a subscriber at Studio Calico since 39 months and I´m still excited when my kit arrives. I love having a monthly kit delivered to my door with well coordinated papers and embellishments. I especially love all the exclusives in the kits. It´s just my monthly box of happiness! And I just love the community. All the members are so inspiring and I learned a lot from taking classes at Studio Calico. Checking out the message board at Studio Calico is something I do every day. I´m happy to host a challenge at National Scrapbooking Day 2014!

CatB22 : So I’m Cat, I am 28, married to a wonderful guy called Mike and we have a Jack Russell called Mabel who you’ll see in my layout and Project Life spreads a lot! I live in the UK, not too far from London and very close to Windsor (most people know of that because of the Castle!). I am lucky enough to design for a living as my job is Creative Director at our family business Soak In Style - a luxury bathroom showroom. Of course in my spare time I just love to get creative, I actually enjoy all sorts of crafts, but find that scrapbooking and Project Life really fulfill my need for creative expression. I just adore everything about Studio Calico, and have been subscribing since July 2012 which was when I first started scrapbooking. I started during a period of ill health and found getting the monthly kits and then creating with them really helped to keep my spirits high. I now subscribe to all three kits and couldn’t imagine not getting them. I love the variation, not having to choose products myself as well as the exclusives - they are a big draw for me. Plus I often get things we’d either never get here in the UK, or at least much sooner than normal.

supertoni : Hi. My name is Toni From. I am a 30-something wife and momma with two school-aged kiddos. When I am not on mom-duty, you will frequently find me in my studio playing with pretty paper, working on any kind of home project, planning future endeavors, browsing blogs and Instagram, or working on my own blog. I live my life in a positive manner, and just live every day to the fullest, and document it along the way. I love to laugh, and can get downright silly at times. Life is to short to be unhappy. I consider myself very lucky to have stumbled across Studio Calico almost 2 years ago. I was looking for a kit club and what I found was so much more than just that. Not only does Studio Calico carry products that I love in each and every kit, but their community is absolutely fantastic. I have met many amazing women on the forums and many that I consider lifelong friends. I love how positive, supportive, and generous this community is. Each kit is lovingly packed with the newest products, some amazing exclusive items, and is always on trend. I truly believe Studio Calico has the best kit club and community forum out there.

tracyxo : Hey guys! Happy NSD! I'm Tracy! I'm obsessed with my dog, drinking coffee, getting lots of sleep and anything gold - seriously, the more gold the better. I've been scrapbooking for almost two years and I love working with my Studio Calico monthly kits, as well as the amazing items available in their shop. Fun fact: I usually buy two of things so I can use one and hoard the other. It is so much fun to mix and match the kits, there's always something that completely matches my style!

Cath4k : My name is Cathy and I live in sunny Sarasota, FL. I have been married 25 years and am mom to four children. My youngest two are still at home and I spend my days homeschooling them. I have loved paper and artistic pursuits since I was a child and ventured into modern scrapbooking in 1997. I enjoy making traditional layouts, cards, and Project Life. I no longer have a local scrapbook store, so receiving my Studio Calico kits in the mail is like my own personal Christmas Day each month. I always look forward to all the fun, new products and the opportunity to try new things. I especially love the online community at Studio Calico. The members are such a talented, fun, kind, and supportive group of people!

welobellie : Aloha! My name is Brooke & I reside in Honolulu, Hawai'i. I initially started scrapbooking in 1998, when I was highschool. I had a million photographs & memories I wanted to preserve but wanted something more than just the standard photo album. Back then, it was all about paper punches, decorative edge scissors & stickers for me ;) I fell off the scrapbooking wagon for awhile. Fast forward to 2012 when I found myself with, yet again, a million photos & memories I wanted to preserve. This time the photos & memories were of my daughter & I wanted to do something really special with them. I found my way over to Studio Calico & it was love at first sight. The monthly kit offerings are perfect for a full-time working mom like me, with no time or energy to hunt for & coordinate scrapbooking supplies. Studio Calico has truly been "Inspiration, Delivered" for me. I am so inspired every day by the kits, creative team and community. Beth Ann : I am a full-time accountant with a husband and two teenagers and have been a member at SC since May 2009 - it's almost my 5 year SC-versary! I spend my weekdays with numbers and spreadsheets and often have limited time to create. I love all the inspiration and atmosphere at SC. To me, it's not just a kit club and an online store. It's a place to connect and learn and share and have fun. Not once have I asked a question on the message boards that did not get an answer. That vibe paired up with the monthly kits, the classes, the Members and the entire staff and Creative Team means I can always find something to inspire me to play. And with the stresses of everyday life, we ALL need to find time to play. SC has become my online home and an endless source of ideas.

Rockermorsan : My name is Magdalena Hanell. I'm a 41 year-old primary school teacher from Sweden. My husband is a carpenter specialized in making furniture and we have a boy of 6 and a girl of 4,5. I love rock music, crafting and am also a huge horror fan. I've been scrapbooking since 2008 and I started out making an album with photos from my mother's retirement party. I started PL only a year ago, and I love it. I first read about Studio Calico in a Swedish scrapbooking magazine in 2009. Paper Moon of June 2011 was my first kit, and I've been a subber ever since. Now I also sub to the PL kit. The Studio Calico kits have had a huge impact on my scrapbooking, and I honestly don't think I'd still be scrapbooking if I hadn't started my sub. I have met so many friends through this hobby, it really is one of the best things to ever happen to me. See you on the boards!

ginny : Hi my name is Ginny Hughes and I have been scrapping for about 5 years. I live in New Hampshire with my husband and 5 kids, ages 3 to 10. I love being a member here at SC. There is such great inspiration in the gallery from fellow members and the Creative Team. I love there is such a fun vibe on the message boards and being a part of a community of other people that love to play with paper just as much as I do!! I love being pushed outside of my box with the SC kits, they include some products that I would never have picked out on my own, but almost always end up loving. Getting that brown box every month still makes me giddy even after all of these years! Thanks so much to the SC crew for inviting me to be a part of the NSD fun this year!
