Hi there! I'm Emma and I live in country Victoria with my son and also share our home with my mum and dad, who I would be absolutely lost without! I work full-time as a Project Manager for a signage company and I love it (most days anyway, haha). Its a little stressful because its always left to the last minute, but I enjoy the challenges and I'm usually learning all kinds of new things every day. I love to read books - the real paper type! - mostly crime/thriller (Patricia Cornwell/Kathy Reichs/Faye Kellerman) but I don't mind sitting down to read the "young adult" fantasy books (Cassandra Clare/Lauren Kate/Becca Fitzpatrick) every now and then, haha.

I've been scrapbooking for a few years but had stopped doing all layouts when I started PL in 2012. I only started making SB layouts again this year when I was feeling a little burnt out by PL and decided to switch from double-page spreads down to 1 per week. I've adopted the mantra that its better to get something in those pockets rather than fussing over how pretty it has to look and taking forever to actually get it done - its been a great shift in focus and I'm loving PL again. My layouts are a little differently though, I tend to fuss over those a lot more than I should. I scrap 6x8 pages mostly, I find the size perfect for me and I love the Handbooks! (Take up so much less space than the big 12x12 albums!).

I'm not quite sure what my style is but I will admit that I make alot of mistakes when putting layouts together and more often than not they work out better than what I had actually intended to do :) I don't plan my layouts much, I pick a photo, get my paper and shuffle them around until I find something I like! In saying that though, I do I love sketches (and all the challenges on the blog, which I try to participate in every week!), they are a great starting point for me and I'll often just stare at a sketch until something clicks in my brain :)
