Our Layout of the Week, & Just Like That, comes from our member Kelly (username kellyxenos). Our community fell in love with her creative use of all the different wood veneer embellishments to document her anniversary. This photo was taken by my sister-in-law the weekend of our 7 year wedding anniversary. I loved the colors and knew right away I wanted make a layout celebrating our 7 years. The large ampersand is from the Hello, Hello Project Life kit and it’s one of my favorites. I liked the idea of using only wood veneer on the layout so I went through my stash and pulled out hearts, stars, our initials and the date we were married. I created the journaling using a typewriter font in Photoshop Elements and then printed on 8.5”x11” white cardstock. I trimmed the page to 6”x11” and attached it to a slightly larger piece of patterned paper from Crate Paper. During the process of putting everything together I was going to include some handwritten journaling but decided to keep it clean and simple and have the focus be on two of my favorite things – my husband and wood veneer! Thank you so much for choosing this as LOTW. This is an amazing community and I am so grateful to be a part of it.
