LOTW | Marie

Our Layout of the Week comes from our member Marie (username MarieL). How amazing is this travel album? We love her use of the Funnel Cake digital stamp on vellum as a cover for her gorgeous album. I immediately fell in love with the Penny Arcade Funnel Stamp of the states, and it inspired me to get busy on our Alaska travel album. I used the digital version of the stamp and printed it out on vellum to make the cover page. The album itself is 8.5x11" which seemed the best size to fit all of the brochures, maps and menus I gathered during our trip. For photos I am alternating between full page pictures, and multiple pictures put into baseball card protectors. I've been adding in a lot of transparent elements, including vellum overlays and sequins sewn into page protector pockets. I also added in a South of the Market transparency cut down to 8.5x11" right over one of my full-page photos. For smaller paper souvenirs I used a small window envelope which I added right into the album with small attachers. I'm still working of finishing my album, but now that I have the basic format set up it's been coming together quite easily.
