Week of Photo Prompts | Stephanie Baxter

1. DAILY ROUTINE
What mundane tasks do you do every single day? It could be chores, part of your morning or bedtime routine, the school run; your journey to work. I think it’s really fun to capture these parts of your day that you do with very little thought.

2. GUILTY PLEASURES
Most of my guilty pleasures revolve around food, and I like to document how I’ve treated myself during the week. You could capture your favorite trashy TV show or the glass of wine that you like to indulge in at the end of a long week!

The coffee table in our house usually tells a story about what we’ve been up to that day, whether it be pigging out on sweets or doing the crossword on a Saturday morning. What does your coffee table say about your day?

4. OUT AND ABOUT
A lot of the time when I’m out and about doing errands or on my way to somewhere else, I forget to stop and look at what’s around me. It’s good to just pause sometimes and soak up our surroundings, even if it’s making a note of what you can see out of the car window when you’re being driven somewhere.

5. YOU
If you’re anything like me, you hardly ever appear in front of the camera because you’re always the one taking all the shots! If you can’t hand over the camera to someone else, take a selfie. It’s so important to get yourself into your memory-keeping projects. You are worth documenting, I promise!

What’s the weather like today? We’ve had a lot of rain here in the UK recently (surprise, surprise!) and while it can feel a bit miserable, I actually love how pretty the raindrops look on my window! And I don’t know about you, but the sight of a rainbow never fails to brighten my day!

7. THE VIEW
What’s the view like from where you are right now? You may have to look up, down or straight ahead, but it’s always fun to document what you can see at any given moment.

I hope some of these prompts have been helpful and might inspire you to document more of the little things that make up your week. I’d love to see what photos you’re taking with these prompts this week. Be sure to post them to Instagram using the #SCphotoprompts hashtag.
