Introducing our 2015 Creative Team

Hello everyone! With 2015 fast approaching, it’s the right time to reflect on some highlights from this amazing whirlwind of a year. 2014 has definitely been a year of growth for Studio Calico. In addition to partnering with Ali Edwards and A Beautiful Mess and bringing Big Picture Classes into the SC family, we’ve moved to bigger offices, expanded our behind the scenes team and welcomed four new babies. WHEW. Through all of the changes, we’ve strived to inspire by providing products we’re proud of and maintaining committed service so that everything that falls under the SC umbrella lives up to our standard of excellence. We’re so glad you’ve grown with us and supported all the changes. It’s awesome to be a part of such a tight-knit community of makers who are willing to share and learn from each other. Trust us, we know how important it is to take time to create something. We feel lucky that you’re sharing that time with us.

It’s been quite a year for our Creative Team, too. There have been babies and marriages, new jobs and moves, personal triumphs and struggles. And through it all, they’ve found time to share their lives and their talent with us and with all of you by delivering top notch inspiration to our gallery, classrooms and blog. We could not be more thankful for them, and are amazed at how they transform our kits into such beautiful projects. The endless cups of coffee and late night crafting sessions of these gifted women have been worth it on so many levels.

Now, here we are at the close of another year and it is time to reveal the 2015 Creative Team. How is it that time already? As this business evolves, so does the talent pool within this amazing industry. We worked very hard this year to find individuals who bring unique strengths to the gallery each month and constantly amaze us with their skills.

With all of this in mind, we’ve revisited how our Creative Team works. In 2015, we’ll be working with a smaller team who will bring you inspiration each and every month. In addition, we also will continue to showcase all of the crafters you know and love on our blog, in the Calico Classroom, and through regular guest appearances in our gallery. This will give our team members more flexibility, and allow us to mix things up to keep the work in our gallery and on the blog varied and fresh each month. The list you see below is just a start – we are looking forward to have the opportunity to feature even more talented crafters here at Studio Calico. Maybe you’ll be one of them? ;)
