LOTW | Janine

Our Layout of the Week, Hello Love, comes from our member Janine (username JanineLanger). Janine's work always inspires our community. We love her creative use of the gold transparencies to make pretty leaves for her Hello Love layout. I had a lot of fun creating this layout. The photo was made during a walk on a sunny fall afternoon. My little sister joined us, when I wanted to take some pictures of my son. She didn't want to have her pictures taken though, because she felt like she didn't have enough make up on and her hair was wrong. Worries of a 22 year old girl. ;)

But then we came across a tunnel and she shouted out loud, that she wants some pictures of her there, because of the 'urbanish' look of the tunnel full with graffiti. I snapped away and I love the photos! Especially this one, because she looks so dreamy and fragile. As I wanted to create a quite monochromatic layout, I chose to print it in b/w, because of the bright colors of the tunnel wall. I also wanted to use the 'hello love' print on the patterned paper as a title and it led to an even more monochromatic look. Love it!
Then I chose to ad some leaves to give it a more playful look. When I was looking around which papers to use, I came across the transparency pad by Studio Calico. I love the golden print on them, cut out some leaves and added some stitching. That's it. :)
