Holiday Pinterest Inspo - Embroidered Gift Bags | Lilin Fang

Pinterest is such a great resource when you need that creative boost! I was looking through the Studio Calico Pinterest boards, and the stitching board caught my eye - especially this particular pin on embroidery: http://www.pinterest.com/pin/17732992257545017/ (shown below).

I was inspired to try embroidery, so I grabbed one of the muslin bags that I have been collecting and used the cute stamp from Waldorf to create designs on the bag.

Once I'm happy with the design, I added some embroidery. it's a fun technique and it adds color and texture to the stamped image. I am planning to use the muslin bag as a gift bag for little Christmas presents so I added a tag, some ribbons, doily, flower die cut and held all of them together with a wooden clothes pin.

To add a personal touch, I used the gold glitter alpha to add initials of my friends I am planning to give the muslin bags to.

Did you use regular stamping ink for these or a special fabric ink?
