Sunday Sketch | Dana

This week, our layout sketch is an 8.5x11 layout with one horizontal photo and a split design. Our card sketch features repeated embellishments and a sentiment on strips and our Project Life sketch uses a circle for a caption and lots of room for journaling. For my card today, I was working with the scrapbook layout sketch. It's been fun to translate the design to a smaller scale. First, I decided to switch out white space and patterned paper areas so I ended up with just one strip of paper towards the bottom of my card. Since I had no photo to work with, I used a larger die-cut title to replace it and added a complimentary stamped sentiment for the journaling. I loved Melanie's star elements, especially since I was working on a New Year's card, and kept that in form of a few Color Theory gold sequins. A few very fine sprinkles of Mister Huey finished it all off.
