Our Layout of the Week, New Year New Adventure, comes from our member Magdalena (username Rockermorsan). Magdalena's stood out in the member gallery with it's classic grid design with a twist! To keep up with Magdalena and see more of her work, be sure to follow here at SC and her blog!

I'm crazy about grids as many of you already know. The 2x2 grid is my favorite of them all! I printed these photos taken when walking home from school last Friday, and wrote my journaling about loving our Friday afternoons together. I love love love that beautiful winter PL card. The New Year square originally said Happy New Year and came in the Pine Hill addon. I edited the digi brush from the Far Far Away PL Adventure stamp set to say "new adventure" instead of "today's adventure", to create my title. To add a bit more interest to the layout I tilted the black square a bit and stapled it on, as if I had added it as an afterthought. I picked out another paper with a discrete pattern to stick underneath, because I didn't want an empty space inside the grid. The chipboard triangles are perfect as scattered confetti.
