Weekly Challenge | Andie

This week, our member Andie (username andie librandi.), is challenging you to cut up a Project Life card for your next project. We love our talented members! Check back each week as we ask one of our members to inspire you with a challenge based on one of their projects from our member gallery. Be sure to follow Andie here at SC to see more of her work and keep up with her!

Hello there! I'm so excited to be bringing the weekly challenge to you today. Right now, I really love mixing traditional scrapbook pages in with my PL spreads and because I love that mix so much, I figure why not intermingle products? On this layout, I used several 3x4 cards (cut in half) to create a grid; the focal point is a picture of me with my son, Weston. I've been hoarding the "so very lucky" card from the Office Hours kit for a bit now, but it seemed fitting to use as the title for my layout…so I took the plunge and cut up my card. I made sure to cut from the horizontal side of the card because that banner was larger. I really love the end result! So this is my challenge to you this week: find a fun PL card with a great title or graphic image, cut that baby up and use it as a title on a scrapbook layout! It's such a fun & easy way to make your page stand out. I can't wait to see what ya'll come up with!

Now it’s your turn to create a project based on Andie's challenge! Share your new project for the challenge in the SC gallery (add the hashtag #SCchallenge to make it easier to find!), then link up your project in the comments of this post by February 2nd and to be entered to win a $5 gift card to the Studio Calico Shop! This week's challenge winner will be announced in the February 7th Layout of the Week post.

I used a card from the Far Far Away PL card here and a card from the Shanna Noel back to school set.

I cut up my cards quite frequently because I don't really do PL! I cut several cards to make a border for my page: http://www.studiocalico.com/galleries/152603-15-choices-in-2015
