Weekly Challenge | Patterned Paper with Christine

This week, our member Christine (username Christine Cieri), is challenging you to use eight different patterned papers on your next project. We love our talented members! Check back each week as we ask one of our members to inspire you with a challenge based on one of their projects from our member gallery. Be sure to follow Christine here at SC to see more of her work and keep up with her!

Happy Monday everyone! Christine here to bring you a challenge this week. I am a subscriber to the monthly Scrapbook Kit and always love all the papers that I get to play with (along with the embellishments of course too!) In this layout I am sharing with you today, I used a lot of pattern paper to create my background. I stitched each different paper for some added texture and curled up the edges with my fingers for dimension. I stuck with all neutral, black and white pattern papers, from the Walden and Park Ave Kits, so the layout wasn’t too busy with all the different patterns. I’d love for you to join in my challenge to you, create a project using eight different pattern papers. I know you can do it and I can’t wait to see what you create!

Now it’s your turn to create a project based on Christine challenge! Share your new project for the challenge in the SC gallery (add the hashtag #SCchallenge to make it easier to find!), then link up your project in the comments of this post by January 19th and to be entered to win a $5 gift card to the Studio Calico Shop! This week's challenge winner will be announced in the January 24th Layout of the Week post.

Beautiful layout and great use for pattern paper.
I decided to use this 8 patterned paper challenge on a card. I used the Far Far Away fruit card stamp set and papers primarily from the Hello, Hello 6x6 pad.
I cut strips of paper and adhered to a card base, stamped the fruit on it and placed the negative die cut on top. Sentiment is heat embossed on velum in charcoal then overlaid in colors.
