LOTW | Pam

Our Layout of the Week, Goodnight Moon, comes from our member Pam (username PamBaldwin). Pam's two-page layout was a stunner in the the member gallery with its adorable photo, bold title and creative use of one of the vellum moon from our Ivy Tower add-on kit. It was love at first sight when I saw those little sticky velum moons in the Ivy Tower add-on from the Far Far Away release (I think it might be my most favourite add-on ever, and it's still available!!). The first thing I thought of was my daughter's current obsession with "Goodnight Moon" by Margaret Wise Brown. We read it on repeat :) I took a photo of her snuggled up with me before I put her to bed one evening and decided that picture + that story was exactly what I wanted to tell! I decided on a two pager with a full page photo (because that's pretty much my go-to, when I love a picture). I added my journaling and some digital word art by Ali Edwards directly on the photo, and that left lots of room to play with a title on the other side. I chose a little excerpt from the book for the title. Just saying those words brings up all kinds of images of our bedtime snuggles, seriously my favourite part of the day! I love the little cluster of the moon with the chipboard heart and the gold splatter rubons. I made a banner with more of Ali's digital products to sit right on top and I think it's the perfect finishing touch! At the last minute, I decided to use some of the patterned paper from far-far away to add a bit more colour to my title, and I'm so happy I did :) I've still got a stack of moons and some of the awesome new ones from the Cirque kit to use up, so I've pinned some inspiration/quotes/word-art to my Pinterest Layout Inspiration board.
