Make a Cool Card with the Make Stuff Transparency Cards | Julie Campbell

One of my favorite add-ons from the Odyssey release is the Make Stuff transparency card set. There are so many great designs included, and my mind is full of ideas on how to put them to use. I especially love the Swiss cross pattern on one of the transparencies and noticed that it coordinated perfectly with many of the items from the Odyssey card kit.

I thought it would be fun to make a window card and let the transparency take center stage. I used navy cardstock as my card base and cut a piece of kraft cardstock slightly smaller than the card front. To create a window on my card, I trimmed a Post-it note to size and used it as my guide.

I then cut the window using my paper trimmer.

I cut a slightly wider window out of the kraft cardstock.

Once my cuts had been made, I sandwiched the transparency in between the cardstock layers.

I stamped the “Get Well Soon” sentiment onto a foiled label & applied the cross flair to finish off the card. This month’s Card kit came with some colorful envelopes and I especially loved the way the aqua envelope paired with the colors in the card. To tie it all together, I trimmed a piece of patterned paper and adhered it to the inside of the envelope. Envelope liners only take a few minutes to make and they make such a difference in the presentation of the card.

Window cards are a fun and easy way to create a unique card. I hope you give it a try!
