Sunday Sketch | Ginny Hughes

Happy Sunday! Ginny here with you today sharing my take on the scrapbook sketch.

I fell in the love with Jamie's layout when I saw it and then seeing the sketch the first thing that jumped out to me were the strips of journaling at the top. I thought it would be fun to use the word stickers from the Galileo Scrapbook kit to act as the journaling. To add some color to the layout I picked some of my favorite papers from the Galileo kits and cut them into different sized strips and sewed them down. I used a mix of chipboard alphas for the title, some for the Carolina Moon Project Life kit and the others from the Saturn add on. I snapped a photo of the current status of my desk, it truly is my happy place! I hope you join in this week and I can't wait to see what you create!
Supplies- Galileo Scrapbook kit, Carolina Moon Project Life Kit, Saturn add on kit, Jupiter add on kit, Venus add on kit, Color Theory Flamingo ink pad, Color Theory Inky Black ink pad, Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher, large white shipping tag

A very happy layout! This would be a good way to practicing my stitching on paper.

I'm confused - vertical or horizontal?

@Michelle0604 I took that as a vertical stack of horizontal strips.
