Our Layout of the Week, Happy Birthday: Daisies, comes from our member Emily (username emym). Emily's beautiful and bright card caught the attention of the Studio Calico community with its elements from the August Pop Art Card kit, February Cirque Card kit and Happy Craft Die. The daisy paper in Pop Art just made me...well...Happy :-). So, I die-cut the word happy about five times, stacked and glued the die-cuts together to give it some dimension. I then took the extra die cut pieces from the letters, colored them in with markers and popped them back into the word to give it more color. To add even dimension and pop, I added yellow enamel dots to the center of the daisies and scattered little clusters of sequins and dots around the card. In the end, I added a birthday word sticker and a Happy Birthday Card was ready to be delivered.
