Tutorial: Using the Savannah Scrapbook Kit with Anna-Maria Wolniak
Tags:
First, I combined patterned papers and journaling cards together. I created multiple layers and united them all on a white background paper.
I stuck all these scraps and started to cover them here and there using white gesso. Usually, I use an old credit card or a palette knife to spread the gesso, but this time I used a brush because I wanted a thinner layer of this medium.
I decided to move these amazing orange/salmon/navy colour from the journaling card to the background. When the gesso base was dry, I covered a few places using peerless watercolor papers and Neocolors II crayons mixed with water.
I spread these shades on a pink patterned paper. I know these are warm colours, and my photos are full of snow, but I really like this contrast here. I think it's cool :)
When the whole painting was dry I started playing with Savannah stamps (my fav!)
I cut my title from the Crate Paper from the scrapbook add-on.
The embellishments are cut from the printable cards, they are mixed with Crate Paper chipboards, tangled orange thread and wood veneer hearts.

Just love how this looks! Do you have a vision in mind when you start or do you have an idea and just play around with it until it ends up like this? I never would envision this end product with those supplies. Just beautiful.

@Brinkleyboy definitely I just have an idea and the final effect is combined with playing with medium, layers, simmilar shades... As I wrote at the begining I am usually inspired by something and this is my starting point. Next I am choosing supplies in the color palette I chose at the first step. In this work at the begining I knew that I want to use these poctures and combine them with this amazing orange/navy jorunaling card from the Tybee Island addon.

I love how the crayon colors show against the snow pics. Glad I just order a couple of those crayons to play with. This one is going in my inspiration book ;-)
